Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow fumbled as he was sacked while trying to mount a fourth-quarter comeback in a 30-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium.
With 53 seconds left in the game, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was sacked at the Pittsburgh 46-yard line by the Steelers' Derrick Harmon.
Burrow fumbled, and the ball was recovered by Pittsburgh's Sebastian Joseph-Day at the Cincinnati 49. Game over.
Harmon beat Bengals offensive lineman Dalton Risner to get to Burrow.
"We've got to be better," Burrow told reporters after the game. "We've got to be better. … You can't shoot yourself in the foot. Can't win in this league like that."
Burrow did approve of the offensive line's play as a whole.
"I thought they were really good,"
Burrow said. "Obviously the last one, I thought we all could have been better there, but I thought they were pretty dang good all day."
Earlier in the fourth quarter, receiver and returner Ke'Shawn Williams had a costly muffed punt and fumble.
