Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase had nothing to say when asked about Jacksonville Jaguars defensive back/receiver Travis Hunter's growth from his rookie season to his second season, ahead of an NFL Week 4 meeting between the teams at Paycor Stadium.
Asked to comment about Hunter during his remarks to reporters Oct. 1, Chase said, "Ummm," shook his head, and added, "That's all I've got."
Hunter, the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, suffered an apparent injury during the second quarter of the Bengals-Jaguars meeting in Week 2 of last season. Hunter limped off the field moments after Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow left the game with a toe injury.
Hunter returned to the game on offense a short time later, and was penalized for pass
interference on fourth down late in the game.
Hunter played in seven games as a rookie before the Jags placed him on injured reserve in October.
Hunter recorded his first NFL interception during Jacksonville's Week 1 win against the Cleveland Browns.
