Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. was injured during the first quarter of the team's NFL Week 3 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium.
Knight remained down on the field after assisting on a tackle on a run by the Steelers' Jaylen Warren.
Knight got up on his own and jogged off the field before receiving additional attention on the sideline.
"You could tell a heckuva collision to his neck and shoulder area," CBS analyst Ross Tucker said during the broadcast.
Knight was replaced by Oren Burks.
Knight left the game during the fourth quarter in the team's NFL Week 1 win against Tampa Bay, with apparent cramping. Earlier in the game, Knight scored the Bengals' first touchdown of the season on a fumble recovery for a score.
Knight, the Bengals' second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, is in his second season with the team.
In 2025, Knight suffered muscle cramps and went to the locker room during the second half of the team's NFL Week 9 loss to Chicago at Paycor Stadium.
One week earlier, during the team's NFL Week 8 loss to the New York Jets, Knight remained down on the field after a collision with Jets rookie tight end Mason Taylor, but walked off under his own power.
Knight suffered a leg injury in September 2025 during the second quarter of the team's NFL Week 4 loss to Denver. He walked off the field under his own power, returned to the game later in the second quarter, and had his first career interception in the end zone near the end of the first half.
Knight wore a Joe Burrow jersey as he arrived at the stadium in Denver.
