Another week of "The Voice" is here, and things are heating up as contestants face off during the show's "Battle Rounds."
With an all-new episode dropping Oct. 12, viewers might recognize a familiar face, one of Greater Cincinnati's very own, as country star Carly Pearce is set to join the show as a guest mentor.
Tuning into "The Voice" tonight? Here's what to know about Carly Pearce.

Who is Carly Pearce?
Carly Pearce is a country music star, hailing from Northern Kentucky.
The Taylor Mill native had a powerhouse voice from a young age. Pearce's Taylor Mill Elementary School music teacher, Les Woodard, previously told The Enquirer he heard about her talents from other students before joining his class.

She went on to compete in the fourth- and fifth-grade talent shows

Pearce and her parents took a leap of faith when she saw an ad in The Enquirer in 2005 for auditions taking place at the Aronoff Center to be a performer at Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
She got the job and was fortunate enough to not only work with the late Dolly Parton, but she also got to know her.
Following Parton's passing on Aug. 25, Pearce paid tribute to the "Queen of Country," saying that, "Heaven got a whole lot sassier, funnier, and brighter." She paid tribute to Parton at the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Honors on Aug. 19. Pearce hosted the show alongside Parker McCollum, who helped her open the show with Parton's "Islands In The Stream."
I’ve said often in my life, “What will the world be without Dolly?” From the time I was a little girl, I wanted to be just like her. At 15 years old, my family uprooted their lives so I could start chasing my dreams, working in the country show at Dollywood. Since then, I’ve had… pic.twitter.com/lB1kOffhsD
