Anderson: Anderson punched in five rushing touchdowns to win a 49-33 shootout against Kings.
Edgewood: Edgewood ran for 330 yards in a 38-22 win over Chaminade Julienne.
Elder: Elder recorded back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 1995 with a 31-0 win over Louisville St. Xavier.
Fairfield: Fairfield scored all six touchdowns on the ground, racking up 327 rushing yards in a 42-19 win against Sycamore.
Harrison: Harrison improved to 5-0 with a 28-7 road win at Ross.
Lakota East: The Thunderhawks pulled away from Hamilton in the second half for a 37-13 win.
La Salle: The Lancers went on the road and took control early, knocking off previously unbeaten Badin 27-14.
Lebanon: Lebanon pulled off a gutsy two-point conversion to beat Little Miami in overtime, 36-35.
Middletown: Middletown’s defense came away with two interceptions to stifle Colerain in a 28-7 victory.
Moeller: Moeller came up with a safety and pick-six to seal a 30-15 win at St. Xavier.
Oak Hills: The Highlanders held off a late Mason rally for a 28-21 win.
Princeton: Princeton overcame six turnovers to knock off previously undefeated Lakota West, 27-24.
Talawanda: The Brave had their second consecutive shutout and third this season with a 42-0 win against Carroll.
Turpin: A 21-point third quarter helped Turpin pull away from Loveland in a 42-21 win.
West Clermont: West Clermont orchestrated a successful two-minute drill to stun Milford, 43-41.
Winton Woods: The Warriors secured their second shutout of the season with a 54-0 win against Walnut Hills.
Ohio small-school football team of the week
Batavia: Batavia sealed a 24-20 win over Bethel-Tate with a fourth quarter touchdown.
CCPA: Cincinnati College Prep improved to 5-0 with a 38-14 win over Dayton Meadowdale.
CHCA: The Eagles scored 30 unanswered in the second half to beat Aiken, 48-12.
Clermont Northeastern: Clermont Northeastern’s offense exploded for the second straight game, beating Cincinnati Country Day 50-19 after scoring 49 last week.
Fenwick: The Falcons shut out Mt. Healthy in a 28-0 win.
Gamble Montessori: The Gators remained undefeated at 5-0 with a 43-6 win against East Clinton.
Goshen: Goshen blasted Blanchester, 47-14, to improve to 5-0 on the season.
Hughes: Hughes improved to 5-0 with its second 50+ point performance, beating Clark Montessori 56-20.
Indian Hill: The Braves scored over 47 points for the third straight week, beating Mariemont 48-7.
Madeira: Madeira got off to a fast start with 31 first-half points in a 38-14 win over Reading.
McNicholas: The Rockets toppled Division II Withrow with a 24-21 victory.
Monroe: Monroe put up more than 500 yards of offense in a 55-34 win against Clinton Massie.
New Richmond: New Richmond outpaced Purcell Marian in a 28-14 victory.
North College Hill: North College Hill has outscored its first four opponents 196-0 after a 54-0 win over Western Hills.
Northwest: Northwest blanked Woodward in a 35-0 shutout win.
St. Bernard-Elmwood Place: The Titans picked up their second shutout victory of the season, remaining undefeated with a 35-0 win against Norwood.
Wyoming: Wyoming remained undefeated with a 21-13 win against Taylor.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana football team of the week
Bishop Brossart: Bishop Brossart’s defense came up clutch on a game-ending two-point attempt, surviving Nicholas County 21-20.
Beechwood: Beechwood beat Covington Catholic in a 42-35 thriller that may be Northern Kentucky’s game of the year.
Dayton: The Greendevils are 5-0 for just the second time after a 38-16 win over Western Hills (KY).
East Central: East Central controlled every phase of the game in a 38-6 win against Batesville.
Highlands: The Bluebirds shut out Ryle, 28-0, after just one half of play.
Lawrenceburg: Lawrenceburg’s offense put up more than 40 points for the third straight game, beating Franklin County 42-7.
Lloyd Memorial: The Juggernauts’ undefeated streak continued with a 38-20 win against Campbell County.
Ludlow: Ludlow’s offense controlled the game in a 47-23 win against Gallatin County.
Newport: The Wildcats had their second best offensive showing this season with a 46-8 win against Paris.
Simon Kenton: The Pioneers blew past Conner in a 47-0 shutout.
Walton-Verona: Walton-Verona shut out Harrison County, securing a 29-0 win.
Boys fall team of the week
Elder soccer: The Panthers beat Moeller 2-1, topping the Crusaders for the first time since 2020. Elder then beat Dixie Heights 4-2 to improve to 6-2-2.
Harrison soccer: Harrison moved to 5-2-2 after beating Fairfield 3-1 and Lawrenceburg 7-0.
Indian Hill golf: Indian Hill shot a 308 in the CHL Postseason tournament, winning by 18 shots.
Madeira soccer: Madeira improved to 7-1-2 after beating Reading 7-0 and Walnut Hills 4-3.
Mason golf: Mason finished first in the Greater Miami Conference Tournament with a 606, winning the conference for the second time in three seasons.
Milford golf: At the Eastern Cincinnati Conference Postseason Tournament, Milford shot a 305 to win by eight shots.
Simon Kenton soccer: The Pioneers picked up a 4-2 win over Boone County on Sept. 15.
Summit Country Day soccer: The Silver Knights beat Cincinnati Country Day 9-1 and Little Miami 5-1, improving to 8-1-2 overall with six straight wins.
Girls fall team of the week
Badin golf: The Rams won the Division I sectional at WGC, shooting a 327 as a team.
Beechwood volleyball: At 18-1, dropped just a single set while going 6-0 and repeating as All “A” state champions.
Cincinnati Country Day tennis: The Nighthawks won their flight at the GCTCA Coaches Classic Tournament, beating Seven Hills, Oak Hills and Ursuline B.
Harrison soccer: The Wildcats shut out Lawrenceburg 4-0 and Cathedral 3-0 to improve to 8-1-2.
Indian Hill field hockey: Indian Hill improved to 8-0 after beating Oakwood 3-2 and St. Ursula 5-1.
Madeira golf: In the Division II sectional at Reeves, Madeira won by 45 shots with a 340.
St. Bernard-Elmwood Place volleyball: The Tians recorded sweeps over league opponents North College Hill and Clark Montessori. They recorded 80 digs, 45 kills and 40 aces in the two matches.
St. Henry volleyball: They beat North Oldham in four sets and then swept Simon Kenton to improve to 15-5.
Sycamore golf: The Aviators won the morning sectional at Walden Ponds, shooting a 316 and winning a tiebreaker over Lakota East.
Taylor soccer: The Jackets beat South Dearborn 5-0 and Wyoming 1-0, improving to 7-2-2 with three-straight wins.
Ursuline Academy golf: At the later Walden Ponds sectional, they shot a 321 to win the meet.

Bryce Fletcher, Roger Bacon: He won the “A” race at Eaton thanks to a new personal best of 16:53.
Nate Gockerman, CHCA: He was the runner-up in the Scarlet division four-kilometer race at Troy with a time of 12:22.3.
Landon Hall, Western Brown: He took third place in the Scarlet division four-kilometer race at Troy with a time of 12:35.7.
Elijah Harms, West Clermont: The junior took fourth place in the Gray division four-kilometer race at Troy with a time of 13:45.3.
Cameron Kelsch, Norwood: The junior took sixth place at Seven Hills with a time of 22:37.6.
Jaxon League, MVCA: He won the DIII/ DIV race at Cedarville with a time of 16:41, just three seconds slower than his personal best.
Johnny Moad, Ross: The sophomore took eighth place in the “B” race at Eaton with a new personal best of 17:10.8.

John Thomas, Kings: The junior led the Knights to a perfect team score at their home invitational, winning in 16:49, just four seconds slower than his personal best.

Dylan Clemons, Scott: He won his second race in a row, breaking the tape at South Dearborn with a new personal best of 16:53.
Coleman Hughes, Lawrenceburg: He led the Tigers to the team runner-up finish at South Dearborn with a third-place finish in 17:32.89.
Ethan Mann, Conner: He was the top Northern Kentucky finisher in the championship race of the Trinity-Valkyrie Invitational, taking 12th place in 15:25.89.
Ben Moore, Ryle: The junior took sixth place in the varsity race of the Trinity-Valkyrie Invitational with a time of 16:23.4.
Abi Teller, Covington Catholic: The junior recorded a personal best of 16:16.13 at the Trinity-Valkyrie Invitational, finishing as the Colonels' No. 2 runner.
Ohio girls cross-country runner of the week
Emma Buening, West Clermont: She won the White division four-kilometer race at Troy with a time of 17:22.7.
Chloe Butler, Harrison: She was part of the Wildcats’ team title in the “B” race at Eaton with a seventh-place finish in a new personal best of 20:30.6.
Elle Campbell, Milford: The senior took fourth place at the Trinity-Valkyrie Invitational with a time of 17:55.1.
Cassie Hobbs, Wyoming: The junior took seventh place in the Gray division four-kilometer race at Troy with a time of 17:11.4.

Addison McMillen, Ryle: She took 10th place in the junior/senior race of the Trinity-Valkyrie Invitational in 22:17.4.
Audra Pohlgeers, Beechwood: In her first five-kilometer race, the eighth grader took 11th place in the varsity race of the Trinity-Valkyrie Invitational in 20:36.1.
Sophie Schultz, Bishop Brossart: She helped the Lady ‘Stangs to a second place team finish thanks to a 15th place finish in 21:27.5.

Kaydance Givens, Indian Hill: Made saves and flexed her leadership in wins over Oakwood and St. Ursula.
Eliza Krumm, Walnut Hills: Against Dublin Scioto in Columbus, held composure and moved the ball across the field for the Eagles.

Caleb Abshire, West Clermont: In a wild 43-41 win over Milford, Abshire ran 33 times for 204 yards and a touchdown.
Brayden Ackerman, Elder: He had a pair of interceptions as Elder beat Louisville St. Xavier 31-0, shutting out consecutive opponents for the first time since 1995.
Cortez Ball, Oak Hills: He led the team in tackles and forced a fumble in a 28-21 win over Mason.
Joey Beckett, Talawanda: He had three catches for 106 yards and a touchdown in a 42-0 win over Carroll that kept the Brave unbeaten at 5-0.
Luke Besingi, Edgewood: He returned an interception for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to help clinch the game in a 38-22 win over Chaminade-Julienne.
Brandon Birdsong, Springboro: He rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown and returned a kickoff 97 yards for a score in a 38-14 win over Northmont.
Corrious Booker, Fairfield: He rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown, and had an interception on defense in a 42-19 win over Sycamore.
Jordan Crider, Middletown: He led the Middies in tackles and had one of the team’s two interceptions as they beat Colerain, 28-7.
Garrett Fraley, La Salle: The junior quarterback led La Salle to a 27-14 win at Badin, throwing for 172 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 142 yards.
Antwoine Higgins, Anderson: Higgins had 15 tackles (eight solo), 4.5 tackles for a loss and a sack in Anderson's 49-33 win over Kings.
Carter Jones, Lakota East: He had 112 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns in a 37-13 win over Hamilton.
Wyatt Lassen, Lebanon: He caught a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, with Logan Schmenk’s two-pointer providing the winning points in a 36-35 win over Little Miami.
Kaden Lawson, Moeller: He had 3.5 sacks to help limit St. Xavier to 217 yards in a 30-15 win by the Crusaders in their GCL-South opener.
Ben Markarian, Harrison: He intercepted his fifth pass of the year and 16th of his career in Harrison's 28-7 win at Ross.
Key’Sean Torbert, Princeton: He returned a blocked punt for a touchdown and a kickoff for a score in the Vikings’ wild 27-24 win over Lakota West for first place in the GMC.

Gage Croley, Goshen: He rushed for 225 yards and three touchdowns in a 47-14 win over Blanchester that kept the Warriors unbeaten at 5-0.
Colt Fry, Summit Country Day: He threw for 154 yards and three touchdowns in a 47-7 win over MVCA.
Max Hamilton, McNicholas: He had eight tackles including four sacks in a 24-21 win over Withrow.
Shep Layman, CHCA: He intercepted two passes in a 46-18 win over Aiken.

Callan Poland, Turpin: The junior receiver had four receptions for 134 yards and two touchdowns in Turpin's 42-21 win at Loveland.

Damarco Jackson, Newport: He ran for 163 yards and four touchdowns plus three two-point conversions, had a 14-yard catch, made five tackles and returned an interception 70 yards for a touchdown in a win over Paris.
Bently McKinzie, Bishop Brossart: He ran the ball 11 times for 72 yards and a touchdown in a win over Nicholas County.
Ryan Minges, East Central: He ran the ball 26 times for a new season-high 174 yards and a touchdown in a win over Batesville.
Nate Pabst, Beechwood: He accounted for 201 yards from scrimmage (161 rushing, 40 passing) and five of the Tigers’ six touchdowns as they beat neighborhood rival Covington Catholic.

Savanna Blackmore, Sycamore: The freshman had a 71 at Walden Ponds, finishing in second while leading Sycamore to the team title.
Olivia Donvan, Lebanon: She was the Division I sectional champ at WGC, shooting a 68 to win by eight shots.
Sophia Fink, CHCA: She tied for first at Reeves in the Division II sectional, shooting a 71.
Ellie Hartung, Madeira: Hartung shot a 71 at Reeves, tying for first in the Division II sectional.
Christina Morris, Middletown Christian: She won the Division II sectional at WGC with a 74.
Leah Mulcahy, Ursuline Academy: She won the Walden Ponds P.M. sectional with a 77 and led Ursuline Academy to the team championship.
Lauren Perry, Little Miami: She had a 79 at Walden Ponds, finishing as sectional runner-up and qualifying for districts as an individual.
