All of the Ohio High School Athletic Association boys and girls golf district championships are complete and the state tournament participants are decided for Greater Cincinnati golfers.
Local golfers in Divisions II and II completed their district tournaments from Sept. 28 to Sept. 30. Division I boys finished up the penultimate tournament of the year on Oct. 5 and the girls followed at Heatherwoode on Oct. 6. Qualifiers will be at the OHSAA Division I state tournament at NCR Country Club on Oct. 12 and 13.

Division I boys district golf state qualifiers
The top three teams (and individuals not on a qualifying team) advanced to the
state tournament. It was nearly an all-Greater Catholic League-South qualification to state, but Lakota East crashed St. Xavier and Moeller's party, besting Elder by a single stroke to take third.
The Bombers managed a 290, winning the district by 15 shots over runner-up Moeller. The battle for the final spot went to Lakota East with a 307. Brody Hayes led the Thunderhawks with a 71, helping his team best Elder by a shot.
Had Elder, led by a 75 from Louie Melillo, shaved a stroke off its total, it would have been the Panthers advancing with a lower score from the fifth golfer. Hayes and fellow seniors Jack Hoover (76) and Ethan Keller (78) paced the Thunderhawks just enough to stay ahead of Elder to reach state for the first time since 2023.
St. Xavier's Jax Denton and Loveland's Casey Kopecky were individual medalists, shooting 34 on the front and 35 on the back to each have a 69. Kopecky's finish made him an individual qualifier and the second individual was Bellbrook's Brody Seitz, shooting a 71 to tie for third overall with Hayes and Zac McGrath of St. Xavier.
Congrats to Brody Seitz @BellbrookGolf - for punching a ticket to the STATE TOURNAMENT during Districts

Another Bomber, Patrick Paquette, tied for sixth with a 72 alongside Milford's Brock Shuluga and Beavercreek's Jack Faulkner. Shuluga won a playoff hole over Faulkner, taking the final individual state qualifying invite.
Division I girls district golf state qualifiers
One year after graduating state champion Eva Becerril, the Sycamore Aviators added freshman Savanna Blackmore to varsity and found a new leader. Blackmore carded a 71, taking medalist honors at the district tournament, while leading the Aves to a 323 and the team championship.
Lakota East, led by individual runner-up Jenna Schmidt's 72, finished in second with a 329 and Anderson, paced by a 77 from sophomore Rachel Lunn, took third with a 338. Badin stood outside of the top three and the state appearance by one stroke, finishing with a 339, including senior Taylor Zoz's 80.
After Blackmore and Schmidt on the individual boards was a two-way tie for third. Lebanon's Olivia Donovan and Milford's Ellie Fight each finished with a 76, qualifying both for state.
Lunn, already at state with Anderson's team finish, was tied with Springboro's Elise Dunkle and St. Ursula's Brooke Roettker who needed a playoff to decide the third and final individual state qualifier. Dunkle, who finished in ninth in last year's Division I state tournament, won the playoff hole to advance.
