Former Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson signed Sept. 15 with the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad, the team announced.
In August, Jackson was among players the Bengals cut to finalize their 53-man roster.
The Bengals are not scheduled to face the Niners during the 2026 regular season.
Jackson, a third-round pick of the Bengals in the 2024 NFL Draft, played in nine games during the 2025 season. He played in 13 games as a rookie, and finished with one sack.
Jackson requested a trade in October 2025. Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said his suggestion for Jackson was to "just keep working."
During the 2025 season, Jackson was inactive for the Bengals' Week 8 loss to the New York Jets and the team's Week 7 win against the Pittsburgh
Steelers.
Jackson suffered a knee injury during practice in August 2024. He did not play in the Bengals' first four games of that season.
