Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase made a ridiculous touchdown catch from quarterback Joe Burrow during the third quarter of the team's NFL Week 5 game against the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.
"There aren't many humans who make that play!" Fox play-by-play announcer Eric Collins said. "What a stud! ... He is consistently excellent."
"Just absolutely amazing!" analyst Mark Schlereth added. "This guy might be the best receiver in football. What a catch. I'm just using my right arm today! What a show."
Chase was listed as questionable on the team's injury report before the game. He was in concussion protocol during the week.
Chase was in uniform at practice Friday ahead of the team's game in Miami. One day earlier, Chase was in uniform and going through team stretch as well as sprints during practice.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Oct. 7 that Chase was being monitored day-to-day.
Earlier in the week, Taylor said Chase was in concussion protocol after leaving the game against Jacksonville during the second quarter and not returning.
Chase went to the locker room for evaluation for a concussion, and the Bengals announced his return as questionable. As the second half started, the Bengals ruled out Chase's return.
After a four-yard catch from quarterback Joe Burrow, Chase had his facemask grabbed by Jaguars defensive back Jarrian Jones. Chase went to the ground and took a big hit from linebacker Ventrell Miller.
Jones drew a 15-yard penalty. Miller was not penalized, and wasn't fined by the league. CBS analyst Robert Turbin said he couldn't believe Miller didn't draw a flag.
"I'm still really shocked there was no foul called on that play leading with the crown of his helmet," Turbin said during the third quarter of the broadcast.
