Have Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence played against each other before?
Yes. The two star quarterbacks have faced off multiple times since joining the league, but their most memorable duel came in college.
Burrow and Lawrence notably faced off in the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship, where Burrow led LSU to a 42-25 victory over Lawrence and the Clemson Tigers at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

Burrow was later selected as the No. 1 overall NFL draft pick by the Bengals in 2020. Lawrence was selected as the No. 1 overall pick a year later in 2021 by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Since entering the NFL, Lawrence has faced the Bengals three times, in which none have resulted in a Jacksonville victory. The Bengals are also the only AFC North team Lawrence has not beaten. Ahead of the Bengals-Jaguars matchup, Lawrence acknowledged that's something he's aware of during a Sept. 30 press conference.
"We gotta make it turn. We gotta go win it," Lawrence said. "It's definitely something that, when you’re going into the game, you think about. You're not sitting there thinking about it every second of the day and all week, but I've thought about it. It's a team that we haven't beat. We lost a tough one there early in the season last year and that's one that we definitely we want back."
