Clawing its way out of the grave and returning for another year of shrieks and thrills is Kings Island's annual Halloween Haunt.

When is Halloween Haunt at Kings Island?
Halloween Haunt takes place on select nights from Sept. 25 through Oct. 31.
- 6 p.m. to midnight Fridays.
- 11 a.m. to midnight Saturdays (except for Sept. 26, when the hours are 7 p.m. to midnight).
- 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sundays.
What is Kings Island's Halloween Haunt?
The haunting annual attraction transforms Kings Island into haunted mazes and scare zones, as well as hundreds of creatures lurking in the dark.
It
also brings live entertainment and night rides on the park'sroller coasters,like The Beast, Banshee, Orion, Diamondback and Mystic Timbers.
Kings Island cautions that Halloween Haunt is for mature audiences and not recommended for children under 13.
For a family-friendly Halloween, Kings Island offers Tricks and Treats on Saturdays and Sundays from Sept. 27 to Nov. 1. Planet Snoopy and Camp Snoopy are closed Thursdays and Fridays and close at 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays during Halloween Haunt.
What's new at Halloween Haunt this year?
This year's new attraction is inspired by a Halloween favorite, Jason Voorhees. The new maze, dubbed "Jason: Blood Reign," where thrill-seekers can "step into the dark woods surrounding the legendary summer camp" and "retrace the blood-soaked events that made Jason Voorhees the most feared slasher ever," according to Kings Island's website.
"The Conjuring: Beyond Fear," an immersive terror experience where guests take on the role of paranormal investigator, also returns to Kings Island's grounds this spooky season.
Another new attraction is Metal Massacre, a haunted maze "where the dead come to play," and the audience is the main event, trying to survive the show.

- Order of the Dragon (haunted maze).
- Slaughterhouse presented (haunted maze).
- Abandoned (scare zone).
- Coney Maul (scare zone).

- Pumpkin Eater (scare zone).
- Nytewalkerz (show).
- Dr. Nightmare’s Game Show (show).
- Ghouls Gone Wild (show).
- The Haunt Opening Ceremony (show).
Live entertainment at Halloween Haunt
When you need a break from the scares, guests can catch live entertainment from Dr. Nightmare and his gang of monsters, who test your skills with trivia and games at the International Street Bandstand throughout the night.
Ghouls Gone Wild, a classic Kings Island revival, features songs from the '70s and '80s with a haunting twist. NyteWalkers is described as acrobatics and action sports meet zombies, featuring stunts, a suspenseful storyline and creative staging and more.
Kings Island ticket prices
Daily tickets to Kings Island are $49 if purchased online. The Haunted Attraction Pass Bundle is $75, which includes park admission and access to haunted mazes. The Haunted Attraction Express Pass Bundle is $114 and includes park admission plus priority access to haunted mazes.
