Four regular contributors including three key starters for FC Cincinnati will not be available for the club against CF Montreal this weekend due to international duty. They are among nine players in the club who will be away representing their countries in the current FIFA international window, which runs through Oct. 6.
Center backs Miles Robinson and Andrei Chirila, midfielder Pavel Bucha and leading scorer Kévin Denkey will miss Cincinnati’s next Major League Soccer game at Montreal Sept. 26. Robinson, Bucha and Denkey are veteran mainstays in the lineup, and Chirila is a promising 18-year old and occasional starter.
Connor Dale, a 16-year old goalkeeper who recently signed a first-team contract, will be unavailable. Samuel Gidi will also leave
Cincinnati but will wait until after the Montreal match.
Deiver Mosquera (Colombia U19) marks FC Cincinnati 2’s call-up in this window. Nick Harris (United States U16) and Jahiel Johnson (United States U15) will represent the FC Cincinnati Academy for the United States. Here's a look at what the first-team call-ups have ahead.
Miles Robinson: He reported to the United States team camp Sept. 20 and will take part in four friendlies: Sept. 26 vs. Peru, Sept. 29 vs. Chile, Oct. 3 vs. Mexico and Oct. 6 vs. Canada. All will be widely televised.
Pavel Bucha: After making his senior international debut in May but being among the final three players left off the World Cup roster, Bucha was named to Czechia’s first post-World Cup roster under new national team manager Santi Denia. Bucha and Czechia will play four UEFA Nations League matches in League A, the top-tier of the competition. They will play Croatia Sept. 26, England Sept. 29, World Cup champion Spain Oct. 3 and England Oct. 6.
Kévin Denkey: Denkey and Togo begin qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. Les Éperviers – The Sparrowhawks – must finish top two in the four-team Group I alongside Algeria, Zambia and Burundi with each country facing each other home-and-away over six total matchdays. Their first two games are Sept. 25 vs. Burundi and Sept. 29 at Zambia.
Andrei Chirila: Chirila was called into an international camp with the U.S. U19 Men’s National Team under new Head Coach Rob Valentino in Marbella, Spain. The U.S. will play a series of three matches at two venues, Banús Football Center and Marbella Football Center.
Connor Dale: He was named to the 22-man U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team roster for an international training camp in San Pedro Del Pinatar, Spain as the team prepares for the 2026 FIFA U17 World Cup in November.
Samuel Gidi: Gidi and the Slovakian U21s continue qualifiers for the 2027 UEFA European U21 Championship as they currently sit in second place of their six-team group with three matches to go. The top two teams advance to either the final tournament or the next stage of qualifiers.
