The Madison Road floodgate at Duck Creek in Oakley will close on Tuesday, July 28, a day after another round of showers and storms hit Greater Cincinnati and more than a week after flash flooding seeped into East Side homes and businesses.
The city of Cincinnati's Stormwater Management Utility will close the floodgate from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Greater Cincinnati Water Works said in a Facebook post. Traffic will be blocked in both directions.
Officials are urging drivers to use alternative routes and warning of travel delays while the floodgate remains closed.
