Some of the country's wealthiest people are from Cincinnati.

Several Ohioans, including Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown and his family, made The Forbes 400, an annual ranking of the 400 richest people in America. According to the list, released Sept. 15, the top 400 are worth a record $8 trillion, up from $6.6 trillion a year ago.

So, what other Cincinnatians made Forbes 400? Take a look.

No. 224: Cincinnati Bengals owner Mike Brown is worth $7.6 billion

Forbes estimates Bengals owner Mike Brown and his family have a net worth of $7.6 billion. According to Forbes, he helped his father, Paul Brown, found the NFL franchise in 1967, and several family members remain involved with the Bengals. The 91-year-old ranks No. 224 on this year's "400 Richest People in America" list.

No. 396: Medpace CEO August Troendle is worth $4.4 billion

Another Queen City businessman made Forbes' list: August Troendle. According to Forbes, the CEO of Medpace, a Cincinnati-based clinical research company, is worth $4.4 billion. Per the business magazine, Troendle owns nearly 19% of the company's stock.

Troendle founded Medpace, which conducts clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies seeking to bring drugs, vaccines or medical devices to market, in 1992. Before that, though, Troendle spent five years as a director at Swiss pharma company Sandoz, now known as Novartis.

The 70-year-old ranks No. 396 on this year's "400 Richest People in America" list.

Honorable mention: Steven Spielberg

Although he doesn't live in the Queen City, the legendary movie director and producer was born in Cincinnati. The 79-year-old ranks No. 216 on the list with a reported net worth of nearly $8 billion.

According to Forbes, Spielberg's movies have grossed more than $10 billion worldwide. He also gets a slice of cash from every ticket at Universal Orlando theme parks, thanks to his work as a consultant when the first park opened in 1990.
