Drivers across the Cincinnati region may encounter areas of fog Thursday morning, including some pockets of dense fog in Northern Kentucky and parts of Southwest Ohio. Visibility could change quickly in some locations, but conditions are expected to improve after sunrise.
After the fog clears, showers and thunderstorms will remain possible through Aug. 6, with chances increasing in the evening and overnight as humid air continues to move into the Ohio Valley. Some storms could produce heavy downpours.
The unsettled pattern continues Friday, when a few stronger thunderstorms may develop as instability increases.

Rain chances may decrease somewhat Saturday afternoon and Sunday, although scattered showers and thunderstorms are still possible.
Looking ahead to late Sunday and early next week, forecasters are watching for additional rounds of thunderstorms. While the details are still uncertain, storms during that period could have a higher potential for damaging wind gusts than those expected Thursday and Friday.
People with outdoor plans should keep an eye on the forecast and be prepared for changing weather conditions over the next several days.
