Another WCPO-TV (Channel 9) reporter has left the station.
Taylor Woods has departed WCPO-TV after two years on air, she announced on social media Sept. 14. Her final broadcast aired Tuesday.
"After two years at WCPO 9, it’s bittersweet to say that my time in Cincinnati is coming to a close," Woods wrote.
"This city has given me so many memories, incredible stories, amazing people and experiences that have helped shape me both personally and professionally. I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity to do what I love — tell stories and connect with the community," she continued.
According to her WCPO bio and LinkedIn profile, Woods earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Indianapolis and her master's degree in journalism from Northwestern
University.
Before joining WCPO in September 2024, Woods worked at WHAS-TV (Channel 11) in Louisville.
Woods has not disclosed her next career move. Yet, she said she appreciated her time in Cincinnati, thanking the city for keeping her "booked and busy" and her "calendar full."
"Cincinnati, thank you for welcoming me and cheering me on and allowing me to call you home for the past two years," Woods wrote. "Here’s to the memories made and the people who made this chapter special and the adventures still to come."
Woods is the second reporter to depart from WCPO this month. Marlena Lang said Sept. 16 that she would be leaving the station after more than two years on air.
The departures come amid acompanywide leadership restructuring at The E.W. Scripps Co., which owns WCPO. Under the plan, WCPO Vice President and General Manager Jeff Brogan was among 27 managers whose local market and sales leadership positions were eliminated.
Scripps President and CEO Adam Symson said the restructuring is part of the company's "proactive transformation plan" to "align its local television operations with the way audiences watch, discover and rely on news today."
There is no indication that either Woods' or Lang's departure is related to the restructuring.
