Southbound lanes of Interstate 71 are closed near the Florence Mall, according to Kentucky traffic cameras.
Traffic cameras show that I-71/Interstate 75 southbound lanes at Burlington Pike are closed Oct. 13 due to what appears to be an emergency response.
Major Philip Ridgell with the Boone County Sheriff's Office said the interstate is going to shut down for several hours but that that portion of the interstate is the jurisdiction of the Florence Police Department.
The Enquirer contacted the Florence Police for confirmation and is awaiting a response.
