Cincinnati Bengals radio play-by-play announcer Dan Hoard acknowledged he "nearly fainted" when he learned that star receiver Ja'Marr Chase injured his knee during training camp practice.

"Had a speaking engagement and could not attend Bengals practice today," Hoard tweeted. "The first person that I saw afterward said, 'How bad is the Chase injury?' I nearly fainted.

"Made it to the locker room in time to hear Ja'Marr say he is fine and wanted to keep practicing. One coach said he knew Ja'Marr was OK when he started chirping at the defense from the sideline. #PhewDey"

After practice, Chase said he was "good," and called the injury a "little hyperextension." He said he could have resumed practicing if needed.
