What is the story about?
The body recovered from the Great Miami River on Aug. 20 has been identified as a man from Dayton, according to officials.
The Butler County Coroner's Officer said in a report that 47-year-old Eric Blakley had died by drowning, and there was no foul play involved.
The sheriff's office communications center received a 911 call at about 11:42 a.m. describing what appeared to be a body near the dam in Hamilton. The Emergency Response Services Team responded and recovered the body from the river.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to The Enquirer's request for comment.
