Total Wine & More, the nation's largest independent retailer of wine, spirits and beer, is opening a store in Florence.
The store at 7646 Mall Road will celebrate its grand opening Sept. 24, the company announced Wednesday.
According to a press release, the more than 15,000-square-foot store will carry over 8,000 wines, 4,500 spirits and 2,500 beers and is expected to create 25 jobs. The store will also offer an assortment of THC-infused and non-alcoholic beverages and a variety of accessories and gifts.

“We can’t wait to welcome the Florence community to Total Wine & More,” Shirin Odar, the company's chief stores officer, said in a statement. “We love helping customers find exactly what they’re looking for – whether it’s a tried-and-true Kentucky
bourbon favorite, a new wine to bring over to the neighbors or a beer they’ve been wanting to try. We’re excited to bring that personalized experience, along with our expansive selection and exceptional value, to Northern Kentucky.”
In addition to global brands, the new store will sell products from local producers, including StoneBrook Winery, Boone County Distilling Co. and Rhinegeist Brewery. The store will also feature wine and spirits tasting stations, a walk-in humidor with more than 50 premium cigar brands and an in-store classroom for events with winemakers, distillers and brewers.
According to the press release, Total Wine & More will celebrate the opening of its Florence location with in-store tastings and other events throughout October and November.
Founded in 1991, Total Wine & More operates more than 290 stores across the United States.
