Those heading to Paycor Stadium for the Cincinnati Bengals' season opener may want to pack a raincoat.
Afternoon rain is possible on Sunday, Sept. 13, toward the tail end of the home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to the National Weather Service of Wilmington.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m., and showers and thunderstorms are possible between around 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Meteorologists are unsure about where exactly the storms will hit and the overall intensity of the storms, according to an X post by the National Weather Service at Wilmington. There's a possibility for a few storms tobe strong to severe,
with the potential for large hail and damaging winds.
Temperatures throughout the game are expected to be balmy, hovering around the mid to high 80s, with mostly clear skies and calm wind around 6 mph.
