USA TODAY Network Ohio's team of sportswriters has ranked the All-USA Ohio Top 25 girls volleyball players for the 2026 preseason.
Using various measurements such as accolades, statistics, online rankings and some input from coaches, the high school sports writers and editors compiled a list of top returning players statewide. They voted on them by assigning points to their choices for the top 25 players. The following ranking reflects the cumulative point totals.
Besides girls volleyball, the team has released All-USA Ohio teams for boys soccer and girls soccer, with football publishing next week.
No. 1 ‒ Kyla (K.J.) Williams, Gilmour Academy
The senior, a University of Pittsburgh commit, is the top player in her class. She is a middle blocker who has played on U.S. National teams, winning
continental and Pan American gold medals. She had 243 kills and 59 blocks a year ago for Gilmour.
No. 2 ‒ Jillian Forrest, Ursuline Academy
She was picked as first-team All-Ohio in 2025 and the District 16 Division III player of the year. The University of Washington commit was top five in the Girls Greater Catholic League with 319 kills and 76 blocks as a junior.
No. 3 ‒ Bryn Meyer, Seneca East
The 6-foot-2 senior is an outside hitter committed to Clemson. She is ranked as the No. 2 player in Ohio for the senior class, according to PrepDig.
No. 4 ‒ Jacleyn Zgonc, Riverside
PrepDig’s No. 6 player in the 2027 class is committed to Miami University. She is nearing the 1,000-kill mark for her career after having 405 kills in her junior campaign.
No. 5 ‒ Shelly Caceres, Pickerington North
The senior right-side hitter was named Player of the Year in the Ohio Capital Conference-Ohio last season, along with first-team all-district and All-Ohio in Division I. The Bowling Green commit finished with 278 kills, 229 digs, 49 aces and 44 blocks.
No. 6 ‒ Morgan Meiring, Fenwick
The Greater Catholic League-Coed player of the year was also all-district and All-Ohio first team as a junior. Meiring had 343 kills and 258 digs last season for the Falcons, who will be a state championship favorite in Division IV.
No. 7 ‒ Penelope Reisman, Seton
Rated as the No. 1 player in the state for the class of 2028, according to PrepDig, Reisman split time last year with Kirsten Kemper but should be the Saints' primary setter after having 422 assists and 147 digs as a sophomore. Reisman has committed to Cincinnati.
No. 8 ‒ Ali Strange, McNicholas
Voted all-league, all-district and All-Ohio first team as a junior, Strange led McNicholas to its first state title with 389 digs, 100 assists and 47 aces. The Rockets have moved from Division IV to Division III this season but should still be one of the top-ranked teams. Strange is a Xavier commit.
No. 9 ‒ Kendall Hubbard, Mount Notre Dame
The first-team all-league and all-district honoree led the Girls Greater Catholic League with 909 assists last season. She also had 265 digs, 105 kills, 34 aces and 27 blocks. Hubbard committed to Miami University as a setter but is a true five-rotation player.
No. 10 ‒ Charley Moeddel, Seton
Picked as All-Ohio second team and all-district third team in 2025, Moeddel is a true two-way player at the net. The Xavier commit had 315 kills and 94 blocks as a junior.
No. 11 ‒ Kamryn Cocherl, Marion Pleasant
A 6-foot senior outside hitter, Cocherl was first-team All-Ohio last year in Division V, helping her team to a share of its first league championship in more than a decade and a trip to the state semifinals. As a sophomore, she led the Spartans to a Division VI state runner-up trophy. Last year, she had 519 kills and 81 aces, ranked in the top five in all of Division V. Her kills were 10th best in Ohio regardless of division. She was also second on the team with 314 digs. She became Pleasant’s all-time leader in kills as a junior and will play collegiately at Georgia Southern.
No. 12 ‒ Kelsey Green, Ursuline Academy
A first-team all-league and all-district and honorable mention All-Ohio selection as a sophomore, Green was second in the Girls Greater Catholic League with 897 assists and had 284 digs. She is ranked as the No. 6 player in Ohio for the class of 2028 and is drawing interest from Division I colleges.
No. 13 ‒ Lucy Waleskowski, St. Ursula
Waleskowski was All-GGCL first team and all-district third team as a freshman. She had 711 assists, 268 digs and 152 kills last season. PrepDig ranks her as the top player in the state for the class of 2029.
No. 14 ‒ Addie Knapke, Olentangy Berlin
The senior libero led the Bears in digs last season with 366. She also set program records for aces with 69 for the season and 181 for her career. The Northwestern commit was first-team all-OCC-Cardinal and second-team all-district in Division I.
No. 15 ‒ Maggie Timmerman, Seton
PrepDig ranks Timmerman No. 4 in Ohio in the class of 2028. She came on strong toward the end of 2025 after splitting time with All-Ohio first-teamer Grace Jones. The Toledo commit amassed 225 digs and 34 aces last year.
No. 16 ‒ Aubrey Templin, Harrison
One of the top freshman hitters in the country last year, Templin finished with 456 kills, 204 digs and 56 aces. She's ranked as the No. 2 player in Ohio for the class of 2029.
No. 17 ‒ Elle Mortimer, Granville
Mortimer, a senior, was named to the All-Ohio Division III third team. The Ohio University commit totaled 274 kills and 114 blocks.
No. 18 ‒ Reese Aracri, Springboro
First-team All-GWOC and all-district as a freshman, Aracri was second in the GWOC with 283 kills to go with 156 digs and 26 aces. She is ranked as the No. 4 player in the state for the class of 2029.
No. 19 ‒ Frankie Ramsdell-Washington, Sylvania Northview
In the 2027 senior class, Ramsdell-Washington is ranked as the No. 5 player in Ohio.
No. 20 ‒ Leah Caudill, Newark Catholic
Caudill, a senior, helped the Green Wave win the Division VI state championship. She recorded 273 kills, 63 blocks and 220 digs.
No. 21 ‒ Lily Flohr, Norton
Flohr, a senior, was named a Division IV Northeast Ohio District Player of the Year, the Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Year and received first-team all-district and All-MAC honors. She finished 2025 with 474 assists, 212 digs, 144 kills, 40 blocks and 33 aces.
No. 22 ‒ Kylie Stutzman, Taylor
She is a two-time Cincinnati Hills League player of the year and the reigning District 16 Division IV player of the year. She also made the All-Ohio second team. Stutzman committed to Findlay as a setter but also had 392 kills, 251 digs, 71 blocks and 59 aces last year. She has more than 1,500 career assists and could finish with over 2,000.
No. 23 ‒ Addison Lefeld, Macedonia Nordonia
Lefeld, a senior, earned first-team Division II all-district and Suburban League National Conference accolades. She completed the season with 328 kills, 137 digs, 70 aces, 33 blocks and seven assists. Lefeld has committed to University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
No. 24 ‒ Lilly Tierney, McNicholas
Tierney was first-team all-district, second-team all-league and third-team All-Ohio as a junior. The Appalachian State commit led the GCL-Coed with 97 blocks and has a chance to top 400 for her career. She also had 236 kills, 59 digs and 48 aces.
No. 25 ‒ Emme Moser, Fenwick
Moser was first-team all-district and all-league and third-team All-Ohio in 2025. The Toledo commit led the GCL-Coed with 532 digs and also had 65 aces and 60 assists.
