Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks injured his foot during the second quarter of the team's NFL Week 5 game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium.
The Dolphins announced that Brooks is questionable to return.
Brooks remained down at the end of a play, after he was in on a tackle of Bengals running back Chase Brown.
Brooks walked off the field under his own power, and went to the blue tent for evaluation.
"They can ill-afford to lose Jordyn Brooks," Fox analyst Mark Schlereth said during the broadcast. "That guy is the heart and soul of this defense. ... Obviously had some pain as he limped off the field."
Brooks had 13 tackles in a 15-10 Week 4 loss to Minnesota.
Brooks, a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, is in his third season
with the Dolphins after playing four seasons for the Seattle Seahawks.
