Houston Texans star receiver Nico Collins did not participate in practice Sept. 17, according to the team's injury report ahead of a Week 2 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Collins has a Grade 1 hamstring injury, according to a report from Aaron Wilson.
Wilson reported Sept. 16 that Collins was expected to have tests done on the injury.
Earlier in the week, the Texans announced starting linebacker Henry To'oTo'o won't play against the Bengals because of a shoulder injury. The Texans put To'oTo'o on the reserve/injured list.
In a Week 1 loss to Buffalo, Collins led the Texans with seven receptions (on 10 targets) with 75 receiving yards and a touchdown.
A Pro Bowler each of the past two seasons, Collins is in his sixth season with the Texans.
He was a third-round pick of Houston in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Collins did not play in the Texans' 2023 game against Cincinnati.
