The 2026 Little League World Series is underway and Southwest Ohio is preparing to take the field.
Hamilton's West Side Little League has advanced to the first round of the LLWS as champions of the Great
Lakes region. Now, West Side faces Nevada, the Mountain-region representatives. Heavy rain forced the game to be postponed from Aug. 20, but play began at 9 a.m. on Aug. 21.
West Side dominated on its way the World Series. Ohio's champions rolled past Michigan, 10-4, handed an 11-0 beatdown to Indiana, and beat Kentucky twice by a combined 17-4 score. It's the sixth trip to the World Series for West Side; their last appearance was a 2021 run to the U.S. Finals. Hamilton has won 26 Ohio state championships over its history.
