The fans have spoken.
We asked our readers to vote for their local pro or college sports mascot and the University of Cincinnati’s Bearcat won in a landslide.
1,035 votes were cast, and the Bearcat earned 466 of them, good for a total of 45.1% of the whole shebang.
And naturally, the Bearcat’s biggest opposition was Xavier University. The Blue Blob came in second place at 14.%, while the school’s other mascot, D’Artagnan, finished third with 8.6%
A trio of Cincinnati Reds mascots were then bunched up in the Nos. 4-6 places. Mr. Redlegs won the battle of the baseball mascots at 6%, Mr. Red finished behind at 3.7% and Rosie Red was in sixth at 3.3%.
