It is still anyone’s guess who will win Division I regional titles in the Ohio High School Athletic Association boys soccer playoffs, but contenders are establishing themselves in other places.
Here are The Enquirer's power rankings of Oct. 1.
10. Badin Rams (10-2-1)

Last week: unranked
The Rams have been consistently strong all season, only losing in Greater Catholic League-Coed play to Carroll. They have outscored teams 49-11, with the other loss coming to Elder, 3-1. Charlie Hall leads the offense with 14 goals and 11 assists, and Vincent Greene had 10 and eight.
Upcoming schedule: at Miamisburg (Oct. 1), vs. Chaminade-Julienne (Oct. 6)
9. Fairfield Indians (8-2-3)
Last week: 7
Fairfield has been up and down lately, drawing with Princeton and Colerain in league play before beating Division II contender
Anderson, 1-0. The draws keep them from making a run at the Greater Miami Conference title.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Middletown (Oct. 1), at Loveland (Oct. 5).
8. Ryle Raiders (15-3)
Last week: 8
The Raiders picked up a couple of key wins last week, beating Conner in overtime to secure the first seed in the 33rd District tournament, then beating potential Ninth Region contender Dixie Heights, 3-1.
Upcoming schedule: at Madison Central (Oct. 1), vs. Louisville Collegiate (Oct. 6)
7. Wyoming Cowboys (8-2-1)
Last week: 10
The Cowboys drew 2-2 with Madeira in a battle for first place in the Cincinnati Hills League. They are tied for first with Indian Hill.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Oakwood (Oct. 3), vs. Finneytown (Oct. 6)
6. Madeira Mustangs (9-1-3)
Last week: 9
The Mustangs drew 2-2 with Wyoming in a battle for first place in the Cincinnati Hills League. Wyoming is tied for second with Indian Hill. The outcome of Madeira's game with Indian Hill on Tuesday will decide the crown.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Springboro (Oct. 3), vs. Indian Hill (Oct. 6).
5. Turpin Spartans (9-0-4)
Last week: 6
The Spartans are in the thick of an always tight Eastern Cincinnati Conference race, virtually tied with Milford, with a 2-0 win over the Eagles on Sept. 10. Turpin had a setback with a 0-0 draw against Little Miami on Sept. 24. Sam Harding is continuing his ECC player of the year campaign with 17 goals.
Upcoming schedule: at West Clermont (Oct. 1), at La Salle (Oct. 3)
4. Sycamore Aviators (12-3)

Last week: 4
Sycamore had won seven straight until running into Summit Country Day Sept. 29 and losing 5-1. The Aviators remain in first place in the Greater Miami Conference at 7-0 and end the regular season with games against Fairfield and second-place Mason with a chance to win their first league title since 2016
Upcoming schedule: at Fairfield (Oct. 8), vs. Mason (Oct. 13)
3. St. Xavier Bombers (7-4-2)
Last week: 3
The Bombers had won seven of eight against a tough schedule before dropping a 2-0 decision to regular state contender Columbus St. Charles, then a 1-0 decision to Elder Sept. 30.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Centerville (Oct. 3), vs. La Salle (Oct. 7)
2. Elder Panthers (8-2-2)
Last week: 2
Elder has not won a Greater Catholic League title since 2015 or an outright crown since 2007, but made a big step in that direction with a 1-0 win over St. Xavier Sept. 30. Carter Schaefer scored the winner in the second half. Elder has now won five of six overall, with a scoreless draw against the Bombers three weeks earlier.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Oak Hills (Oct. 3), at Moeller (Oct. 7)
1. Summit Country Day Silver Knights (9-1-2)
Last week: 1
The Silver Knights have won eight straight, including impressive wins over strong Division I teams Moeller (3-1) and Sycamore (5-1). Senior Harlan Smith scored all three goals against Moeller and senior Austin Fry had three of the five against Sycamore. Summit faces a showdown with Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy this week for the Miami Valley Conference-Scarlet title.
Upcoming schedule: vs. CHCA (Oct. 1), at Roger Bacon (Oct. 5)
