Cincinnati Bengals backup quarterback Josh Johnson was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for the team's Week 2 game against the Texans at Houston.

Johnson, a star of the Bengals' preseason, was signed Sept. 1 to the team's practice squad.

Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow, limited during practice earlier in the week, is expected to play

against the Texans. Burrow is listed as questionable on the Bengals' injury report.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Burrow participated fully in practice on Sept. 18 and "feels good."

Joe Flacco is expected to back up Burrow in Houston, with Johnson as Flacco's backup.

Linebacker Joe Giles-Harris also was elevated from the practice squad to the active roster.
