His status for the Cincinnati Bengals' next game remains unclear, but Ja'Marr Chase's injury situation appears to be progressing.
Chase has been in concussion protocol since the aftermath of Cincinnati's 22-17 Oct. 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars at Paycor Stadium. He missed more than half the game.
After not practicing Oct. 7, Chase's practice status was upgraded to "limited" on Oct. 8.
Chase in 2026 has 21 receptions for 212 yards and three touchdowns even after he missed most of the Jaguars game.

While the Bengals would obviously prefer to have Chase and Tee Higgins (groin/neck) available for their Oct. 11 game against the Miami Dolphins, the team is preparing for them not being available.
Players like Colbie Young, Dohnte Meyers and Mitch
Tinsley are amassing snaps and building rapport with quarterback Joe Burrow in the absences of Chase and Higgins. That will serve those receivers well if they're pressed into Chase- and Higgins-like roles against Miami.
