Costco has submitted plans for a Clermont County location, officials said.
The plans detail a $30 million investment by the big-box retailer expected to create between 250 to 300 jobs, according to Union Township trustee Joe Dills.
The store would be located behind the Dick's Sporting Goods and Best Buy in the Eastgate commercial area, Dills said.
Township officials require two rounds of votes before the location is approved, Dills said. The last vote is scheduled to take place Oct. 13.
Dills said he highly doubts the plans would be voted down given two years of conversation with the company.
"We're rounding third and heading toward home," Dills said. "I think it's a home run."
