Earlier this month, Enquirer food and dining writer Keith Pandolfi took it upon himself to list his 10 favorite taco joints in Greater Cincinnati. Hopefully you all got out and tried a new gem you didn't know about as a result.
While you were doing that ... behind the scenes, we forced asked Keith to make the difficult decision of nominating ONE taco joint as the best in town for our friends at USA TODAY. They fielded noms from across the country, and the crema rose to the top (as they say) when Westwood's Tacos El Joven was ultimately named home of one of the best tacos in America.
Here's what Keith had to say in his nomination:

"Tacos El Joven is a food truck located in the parking lot of an Ethiopian grocery store in the Westwood neighborhood
of Cincinnati. Popular among construction workers and taco enthusiasts alike, it's a place where the hand-painted menu boasts fillings such as tripe, tongue and huitlacoche, an edible fungus that grows on corn and tastes like smoky, earthy mushrooms. Try everything. Their barbacoa is fantastic, with its rich consume, as is their al pastor, which is citrussy and complex. And while some chicken tacos tend to be dry and flavorless, these are juicy and perfectly seasoned. All are served on hot-off-the-gridle corn tortilla heaped with enough meat, fish or vegetables to make two or three of them into a meal."
So, you know what to do next.
Enjoy.
Tacos El Joven is located at 2157 Queen City Ave., in Westwood, 513-208-1713.
