A Cincinnati bar with roots tracing back to the 19th centuryis closing once again.
The Bay Horse Cafe will close Sunday, Oct. 18, according to a post on the bar's Instagram page. The post says the Downtown establishment will transition to new ownership following the closure.
The bar now at 625 Main St. has been in different locations under various owners, according to longtime entrepreneur and real estate investor Fred Berger. Berger revised the historic bar in 2017 with his late partner, Lori Meeker.
Under Berger's ownership, Bay Horse Cafe served paninis for lunch and snack plates in the evening with a wide selection of beer, including Hudepohl in 25-ounce Hudy Schooners.
The Enquirer contacted property owner Historic Properties for comment and
is awaiting a response.
