Pop superstar Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are taking "extreme measures" to protect their privacy at their newest home, a $5.35 million estate on the shores of Lake Erie in Bratenahl, Ohio.
The couple, who married in July at Madison Square Garden in New York City, have installed an alarm that audibly warns people who get too close to the property, according to Page Six.
The mansion at 12725 Lake Shore Blvd., east of Cleveland, is only a few miles from Kelce's hometown of Cleveland Heights. Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce have deep roots in Ohio, growing up near Cleveland and playing for the Cincinnati Bearcats before moving to careers in the NFL.

Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce alarm at Ohio house warns people to stay away

headlined "Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce go to extreme measures to keep nosy neighbors away from new Ohio mansion," Page Six reports that they have set up an alarm surrounding their Ohio house.
“A neighbor approached the house and got a voice warning about not passing onto the property after getting too close to the house,” another neighbor told the publication.
An area real estate agent told Page Six that the village, on secluded lakefront property, does have its own police force. However, there may be talks of increasing that security presence with new celebrities moving in.
Where does Taylor Swift live?
Outside of the Ohio purchase, Swift has several multimillion dollar properties across four states, according to sources such as Architectural Digest and Business Insider.
- Nashville, Tennessee: Her first home, purchased in 2009, is a three-bedroom penthouse in Nashville, near the heart of Music Row. She paid $1.99 million. Business Insider says the property is now valued at more than $5 million. She also bought a Greek Revival-style estate in the Nashville suburb Forest Hills in 2011. This home is reportedly where her mother lives.
- Beverly Hills, California: Also in 2011, Swift spent $3.55 million on a Cape Cod-style cottage in Beverly Hills. Swift sold this property for $4 million in 2018. In 2012, she bought a midcentury-style bungalow for $1.78 million, which she sold in 2018 for $2.65 million. She bought a Beverly Hills mansion, a landmark once belonging to Samuel Goldwyn of the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film studio, in 2015 for $25 million, which she reportedly still owns.
- Rhode Island: The singer purchased a home on Watch Hill, a coastal neighborhood in the town of Westerly, Rhode Island, for $17.75 million in 2013.
- New York: Swift entered the New York real estate scene in 2014 when she purchased two penthouses in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood, combining them to create one large condo. She spent $20 million. While that site was under construction, Swift rented a West Village carriage house for $39,500 a month. In 2017, Swift purchased a townhouse neighboring her Tribeca penthouse for $18 million. The following year, she bought a $9.65 million apartment in the same building.
How many houses does Travis Kelce own?
Kelce's main home is a $6 million mansion in a gated community near Kansas City, according to Hello Magazine. Before upgrading, he lived in a seven-bedroom property in Kansas City's Briarcliff West neighborhood, which he bought for $995,000 in 2019.
Kelce also has strong ties to Florida. His mother, Donna Kelce, is a full-time Florida resident who owns a condo in the Baldwin Park area of Orlando with sons Travis and Jason (the latter of whom retired to the Sunshine State after he ended his career as a center for the Philadelphia Eagles).
Records show that almost the entire Kelce family is on the condo deed, with the matriarch listed first and Travis and Jason as remaindermen. According to records, Donna Kelce purchased the condo in May 2019 for $355,000.
