A new Northern Kentucky team has entered the rankings in the latest Kentucky high school football statewide media poll.
Even after a bye week, the Dayton Greendevils moved to No. 9 in Class 5A, thanks in part to averaging 45 points per game.
The annual rivalry between Highlands and Covington Catholic highlights this week's football action. A Bluebirds win will further strengthen their grip on No. 1, but the Colonels could once again shake up the rankings if they defend home field. Meanwhile, Dayton must immediately defend their ranking as they welcome Class 5A Iroquois (5-1) to Greendevil Stadium.
Here are the complete polls ahead of Week 7. Sixteen statewide media members voted for these polls, compiled by Jason Frakes of the Louisville Courier-Journal.
