Two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Green Township on Aug. 15, police said.
Green Township police responded to the 3000 block of Lakewood Drive for a report of two deceased people, according to a press release.
Police did not name the people, but the Hamilton County Coroner's Office said 63-year-old Janice Marie Compton died by apparent homicide and 64-year-old Lee Compton died by apparent suicide at that Lakeside Drive address on Aug. 15.
"Based on the preliminary findings and evidence recovered at the scene, investigators believe the incident is consistent with a murder-suicide," the news release said.
Police said additional information will be released as it becomes available and as the investigation allows.
