Want to skip the lines at Kings Island next year? It'll cost you.
The Cincinnati-area amusement park has raised the price of its season-long Fast Lane pass for 2027 to $1,200 (although it is on sale for $699 though Sept. 7). The regular price is up from $799 at the end of 2025 and $999 at the start of 2026 according to the Wayback Machine, which archives previous versions of web pages.
The All Season Fast Lane pass is valid at all North American Six Flags parks, excluding Cedar Point. That change closes a loophole that allowed thrill seekers to buy a cheaper pass at other parks and use it at the Sandusky park, where a season-long Fast Lane pass costs $1,999.

Reaction mixed to Kings Island Fast Lane changes
Online reaction to the Fast Lane pass and its changes have been mixed.
One Aug. 1 post on the Kings Island subreddit states "almost everything worked great" using the Fast Lane pass during a recent park visit. The Fast Lane shortened hour-long waits at midday to five minutes.
Another, posted May 3, said there is "nothing 'fast' about it. It’s shorter than the normal queue, but waiting 30 minutes on a Sunday morning is unacceptable."
Others complain about the price increase and changes to the plan, with one Redditor stating that using it at Cedar Point "was the whole point of getting it for me."
"They are cutting everything back and raising prices," another user writes.
Six Flags continues to struggle financially
Six Flags parks, which include Kings Island and Cedar Point, continue to struggle to find their financial footing.
The company released its second quarter earnings Aug. 6 and showed sluggish revenue at its parks.
Six Flags reported net revenues of $865 million − down $65 million or 7% − compared with $930 million in the second quarter of 2025.
Park attendance overall was down 1.1 million visits, or 7% compared to the previous year.
The company did note some "momentum" in its season pass and membership programs.
The number of active passes increased some 6% in the quarter compared to the previous year.
