A flood warning has been issued for Butler and Warren counties early Thursday due to excessive rainfall.
Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in the affected areas Aug. 20, which include northeastern Butler County and northern Warren County, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. However, no additional rainfall is expected.
The warning is in effect until 10:15 a.m.

Some locations that may experience flooding in the area include Middletown, Lebanon, Springboro, Monroe, Trenton, Franklin, Carlisle, South Middletown and Waynesville,
according to the weather service.
A warning was also issued for areas near the Great Miami River around Middletown until Thursday afternoon. The river is expected to crest just above flood stage in the morning and fall back below by late morning.
At flood stage, water approaches structures south of Ohio 73 between Excello and the Great Miami River. This includes properties along Oxford Street.
Water rescues have been reported in central Ohio, which is experiencing heavy rain.
