Pittsburgh Steelers running back Kaleb Johnson, a former Hamilton High School standout, could be among the team's cuts ahead of finalizing its 53-man roster.

Pittsburgh sports talk host Andrew Fillipponi tweeted that the Cincinnati Bengals could target Johnson if he's cut, and might even trade for the former Iowa Hawkeyes back.

Johnson was selected by the Steelers in the third round (83rd overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Johnson finished his rookie season with just 69 rushing yards on 28 carries and nine receiving yards over 10 games.

Johnson led the Big Ten and ranked seventh in the nation with 1,537 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns in 12 games in his third and final season at Iowa.
