'Marshals' and 'Dutton Ranch' series connection
"Marshals" and "Dutton Ranch" are both direct spinoffs of Taylor Sheridan's original series, "Yellowstone." Each show is set after the events of the "Yellowstone" finale and follows a different member of the Dutton family.
"Marshals" follows Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) as he leaves Yellowstone Ranch and begins a new chapter as a U.S. marshal. "Dutton Ranch," meanwhile, follows Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) and Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), who flee Montana after a life-altering wildfire and settle on their own ranch in South Texas.
Although there is no crossover currently in the works, "Marshals" showrunner Spencer Hudnut told TVLine that he thinks it's a "goal."
"We certainly would love to see Kayce and his sister reunited, whether it's in Texas or in Montana," Hudnut said. "I think the audience deserves that, and I also think it would be super healthy for Kayce to be reminded that he does still have some family out there."
