Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Swayze Bozeman suffered a broken forearm during the team's NFL Week 5 win against the Dolphins in Miami.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Oct. 12 that Bozeman would be placed on injured reserve. Taylor added that he doesn't believe it's a season-ending injury.
Bozeman will miss at least four games on IR. The Bengals announced a short time later that they acquired linebacker Jack Kiser on waivers from Jacksonville.
The Bengals declared Bozeman out during the third quarter of the game.
In addition to Bozeman's injury, Taylor said tight end Tanner Hudson, who scored one of the Bengals' four touchdowns against Miami, suffered a pec injury. Taylor said the team is "getting more information" about Hudson's injury.
The Bengals acquired Bozeman on waivers from the New York Giants in May.
Bozeman was signed as a college free agent by Kansas City in 2024. He had a pair of special-teams tackles for the Chiefs in Super Bowl 59.
Taylor said safety Kyle Dugger (quadriceps) is still week to week.
