Veteran Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tanner Hudson is expected to miss the rest of the 2026 season.
Hudson will likely miss the final 12 games of the Bengals season due to a torn pectoral muscle, according to a report from Charlie Clifford of local NBC affiliate WLWT.
Hudson caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Joe Burrow in Cincinnati's Oct. 11 win over the Miami Dolphins. The game was Tanner's 42nd with the Bengals, and the touchdown was just the fifth of his NFL career.
The 2026 season started for Hudson on the Bengals' practice squad, but he was quickly elevated to the active roster due to personnel needs.
In the fallout of losing Hudson during Cincinnati's Week 6 bye week, it's possible 2026 NFL Draft selection, tight end Jack Endries,
could end up seeing more snaps and playing a bigger role for the team.
Cincinnati has less than two weeks to decide how it will proceed in the wake of Hudson's departure. The Bengals' next game is Oct. 25, and it's a pivotal one as they'll face an AFC North division rival in the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium.
Cincinnati already faces a deficit in the AFC North race. Baltimore (4-1) leads the division, and Cincinnati (3-2) is basically a game back of the Ravens in the standings.
