FC Cincinnati captain and midfielder Evander briefly lost his crown as the king of MLS's Shooting Challenge on Tuesday, July 28, but he quickly returned to the throne.
To kick off the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge in Charlotte, Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Thomas Müller broke Evander's all-time record score of 72 points from 2025, scoring 79. And while the 2014 World Cup champion from Germany was crowned with a trophy, Evander made sure he wasn't alone at the top.
As the final contestant, Evander tied Müller's 79-point performance. Once Evander completed his performance, Müller put a crown on his head.

Shooting contestants had one minute to hit up to 12 different targets by kicking a ball at them. Targets were worth either two, five, 10 or 20 points, with the 20-point target being a moving one that only showed up in the final 20 seconds.
The other contestants competing were FC Dallas' Peter Musa, popular YouTuber FaZe Rug, as well as Liga MX All-Stars Jose Paradela and Juan Brunetta. None of them scored over 60 points.
Evander is FCC's only representative at MLS's All-Star showcase in Charlotte. He will play alongside the MLS All-Stars against the Liga MX All-Stars on Wednesday, July 29 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
