Cincinnati police are investigating what they are calling the suspicious death of a child in Oakley.
Police first arrived at a home on the 2800 block of Madison Road after 1 p.m. Aug. 6, said Cincinnati Police Department Capt. Jennifer Mitsch. Coroner Dr. Lakshmi Kode Sammarco confirmed the person who died is a juvenile.
"Anytime you find a juvenile dead in a home, you're going to want to rule out homicide," Sammarco said.
The community is not at risk of any harm, and no one has been charged or arrested, according to Mitsch.
At 7:45 p.m., investigators are still on the scene. About 2 yards are roped off with police tape. The area in front of the homes including the sidewalk will likely be shut down for hours, Mitsch said.
Police ask anyone with information
to call the homicide unit at 513-352-3542 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
