Children’s Law Center will bring back its Boots, Bourbon, and Biscuits Brunch in Erlanger this fall to raise money for free legal services for children and young adults in Kentucky and Ohio.
The fifth annual fundraiser is scheduled for Sept. 26 at Receptions Event Center, according to a community announcement. Proceeds will support Children’s Law Center’s legal advocacy work, which the organization said helped provide free representation to 564 children and young adults after more than $80,000 was raised through the event in 2025.
A former client of the nonprofit, Alex Harsacky, will serve as the featured speaker. Harsacky is now vice president of the organization’s board.
“As a former client, I give because of the role the Children’s Law Center
played in my life. My family is forever grateful, and I want to ensure other kids have access to a superb legal advocate should they ever come up against seemingly-insurmountable odds,” Harsacky said.
“It is incredibly special to have Alex as a part of our board, as someone who has lived that difference firsthand,” said Sasha Naiman, executive director of Children’s Law Center. “Now, she’s fighting for the next generation of kids to make sure that they, too, have the vital legal advocacy they need.”
Event aims to support legal services for young people
Children’s Law Center said funds raised during the brunch help support free, holistic legal services for children and young adults throughout the region.
The event is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 26 at Receptions Event Center, 1379 Donaldson Highway in Erlanger.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available through the organization’s website at childrenslawky.org.
Food, music and entertainment planned
Ashleigh Gainey (Dubois) is scheduled to emcee the event. Entertainment will include music from Heather Roush and the HeartStrings and line-dancing instruction from Arthur Murray Dance Studios.
Attendees also can expect a brunch buffet featuring a biscuit bar, a silent auction and alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverage options, according to the announcement.
Gold sponsors include Taft Law and Frost Brown Todd. Children’s Law Center said 18 additional sponsors are supporting the event.
