A Covington-based regional chain is opening its fourth restaurant in the Tri-State inside a historic Pleasant Ridge building.
Agave & Rye, known for its loaded tacos, artisanal margaritas and its countless bourbons, will open its doors to the Pleasant Ridge community in September.
The Epic Brands eatery has plans to move into the former Catch Me If You Can restaurant, once located at 6112 Montgomery Rd., across the street from Café Alma.

What will the new Agave & Rye restaurant look like?
From there, the owners plan to transform the building into a community hotspot, featuring a bourbon speakeasy in the basement.
Agave & Rye will have three levels, all of which will serve a different purpose.
The main level will feature an outdoor patio with bold murals and art, an open kitchen concept and a wraparound
bar.
Upstairs will be a dining hall to host large groups and celebratory moments.
Heading downstairs to the speakeasy, guests will be immersed in an “intimate, dimly-lit” tasting lounge with a curved bar, private rack room and an assortment of bourbon and tequila. Epic Brands say it will be the “deepest” collection in Cincinnati.
When will Agave & Rye's Pleasant Ridge location open?
Agave & Rye will be inside Pleasant Ridge’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, often referred to as DORA, and is expected to be a prime entertainment location.
"It’s exciting to see a respected and iconic local brand like Agave & Rye invest in Pleasant Ridge," Josh Williams, vice president of the Pleasant Ridge Development Corp., told Enquirer media partner Fox 19. "Their success speaks for itself, and their arrival is another milestone in the continued evolution of our business district. They join an outstanding group of local businesses that have worked hard to make Pleasant Ridge one of Cincinnati’s most vibrant and growing neighborhood destinations. When businesses like Agave & Rye choose to invest, it’s a strong signal that our district has the momentum, customer base, and community to support exceptional local operators."
An opening date has not been announced yet, but Epic Brands says it will be sometime in September with grand-opening festivities.
In the meantime, people can find the other three Agave & Rye locations in Covington, Rookwood and Hamilton. Epic Brands also has a new concept, Tokyo Pie, which opened in Covington in October 2025.
