Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey said he broke his wrist during the first series of the team's NFL Week 3 win against the Cincinnati Bengals at Acrisure Stadium.
Ramsey said the wrist was hurting throughout the game. He wore a brace/cast on the wrist during practice Sept. 29.
Ramsey said he's not sure whether he'll be able to play against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football.
"It's just going to be about seeing if I'm able to protect it and also still be myself in a good enough capacity where I feel like if I go out there, I won't be letting any of my teammates down," Ramsey said.
Ramsey, a 2025 Pro Bowler, is in his second season with the Steelers.
Last season, the Bengals played their Week 12 game against the New England
Patriots without star receiver Ja'Marr Chase, who was suspended for one game for spitting on Ramsey during their altercation in Pittsburgh's 34-12 Week 11 win.
Chase appealed the suspension, which was upheld. Chase denied spitting on Ramsey, but Ramsey said Chase spit on him before Ramsey was ejected, and video of the incident supported Ramsey's claim.
Ramsey was fined $14,491 for his role in the altercation.
Ramsey also had a memorable altercation with then-Bengals receiver A.J. Green during Cincinnati's game against the Jaguars in Jacksonville in 2017.
