Eighteen Ohio employers are among the best in the nation for tech workers, according to a new ranking from Forbes, with Cincinnati Children's coming out on top for the state.

How did Forbes and Statista create the ranking?
This is the third year for Forbes' ranking. The 2026 America's Best Employers for Tech Workers list is produced in partnership with market research firm Statista, and is based on survey responses from more than 50,000 tech workers across all industries at companies with at least 1,000 employees in the United States.
Those surveyed work in IT or tech-focused jobs such as software development, data analysis, technical support and cybersecurity. They were asked if they would recommend their current or any previous employers and shared their opinions on their current employers' compensation, career advancement pathways, management style, training programs, workplace environment, and opportunities to innovate, share ideas and collaborate.
Data from the past three years of Forbes-Statista employee surveys was included.
The responses were collected and analyzed, with the most recent data from current employees weighted more heavily than data from past employees or those who had never worked for the company. Each employer was then given a score, and the 300 companies with the highest scores made the list.
