The Greater Cincinnati high school boys soccer season has been unpredictable so far. There are a lot of teams capable of making long postseason runs and it will be fun to watch. Here are this week's power rankings.
10. Wyoming Cowboys (8-2-1)
Last week: unranked
Wyoming lost its first two games of the year to Kings and Summit Country Day and has been hard to stop since, with eight wins and a draw against Indian Hill. Seniors Nolan Franco, Everett Johnson and Carter Snyder have six goals apiece.
Upcoming schedule: at Madeira (Sept. 29)
9. Madeira Mustangs (8-1-2)
Last week: 10
Madeira hasn’t lost since Aug. 18 and has a showdown with Wyoming next week for first place in the Cincinnati Hills League. Jean Luc Davis has 10 goals to lead the team.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Milford (Sept. 26), vs. Wyoming (Sept. 29).
8. Ryle Raiders (13-3)
Last week: 9
The Raiders took their first loss since Aug. 18 in a 2-1 loss to Lexington Bryan Station.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Conner (Sept. 24), vs. Dixie Heights (Sept. 29)
7. Fairfield Indians (7-2-2)
Last week: 4
The Indians followed up a key 2-1 win at Mason with a loss to Harrison and 1-1 draw with Princeton.
Upcoming schedule: at Colerain (Sept. 24), at Anderson (Sept. 29)
6. Turpin Spartans (9-0-3)
Last week: 7
The Spartans took control of the Eastern Cincinnati Conference with a 3-2 win over Anderson and then beat Greater Miami Conference teams Middletown and Princeton. Senior Sam Harding is one of the city’s leading scorers with 17 goals.
Upcoming schedule: at Little Miami (Sept. 24).
5. Moeller Crusaders (5-2-3)
Last week: 1
Moeller lost 2-1 to Elder in a Greater Catholic League-South contest but has wins over Mason and Sycamore in a competitive Division I landscape.
Upcoming schedule: vs. St. Xavier (Sept. 23), at Summit Country Day (Sept. 28).
4. Sycamore Aviators (10-2)
Last week: 3
Sycamore has won all six of its Greater Miami Conference games by a total of 24-2. The Aviators have strong non-league tests coming up against Loveland and Summit Country Day, and their league title hopes may come down to games against Fairfield and Mason in the final week.
Upcoming schedule: at Middletown (Sept. 24), at Loveland (Sept. 26), at Summit Country Day (Sept. 29).
3. St. Xavier Bombers (6-2-2)
Last week: 2
The Bombers have tied for first place in the Greater Catholic League-South with a win over La Salle and a scoreless draw with Elder. St. X has big wins, shutting out Lakota West and Mason in the past week. Eli Pero has 10 goals, while the Bombers have only allowed eight.
Upcoming schedule: at Moeller (Sept. 23), vs. St. Charles (Sept. 26).
2. Elder Panthers (6-2-2)
Last week: unranked
The Panthers have tied for first place in the Greater Catholic League-South with a 2-1 win over Moeller after a scoreless draw with St. Xavier. Bryce Kelley leads the offense with five goals and the Panthers have allowed 10.
Upcoming schedule: vs. La Salle (Sept. 23)
1. Summit Country Day Silver Knights (8-1-2)
Last week: 5
The 2025 Division V state champions have shown no signs of slowing down as they pursue this year’s title in Division IV. Their only loss is to Kings and they have draws against Division I teams Springboro and Lakota East. Austin Fry has 13 goals and Harlan Smith 10; both are seniors. What's more, the Knights have only allowed five goals all season. They will get big tests next week against DI powers Moeller and Sycamore.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Moeller (Sept. 28), vs. Sycamore (Sept. 29).
