Even though we're only three weeks into the 2026 Greater Cincinnati soccer season, there has been constant action, a few surprising results and some parity, as traditionally strong teams have struggled while new contenders have emerged.
Here is the first power ranking of the season.
All records and stats are updated through Sept. 1.
10. Turpin Spartans (4-0-2)
The Eastern Cincinnati Conference usually comes down to the wire. Turpin has had the best overall start, including a 2-0-1 mark in league play. The Spartans will have a tough two weeks coming up, including Cincinnati Hills League powers Mariemont and Madeira.
Upcoming schedule: at Mariemont (Sept. 5), at Milford (Sept. 8)
9. Mount Notre Dame Cougars (2-1-2)
The Cougars have had a tough schedule to start, and lost their first league match to St. Ursula,
1-0. Junior Taylor Hamilton leads the offense with four goals and two assists.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Mercy McAuley (Sept. 2), at Seton (Sept. 9)
8. Indian Hill Braves (4-0)
The Cincinnati Hills League has several strong teams again this year, and the defending league champs are off to an undefeated start with wins over McNicholas, Roger Bacon, CCD and Kings, outscoring them by a total of 10-1. Claire Frazier leads the offense with three goals.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Reading (Sept. 2), at Wyoming (Sept. 9)
7. Ross Rams (6-0)
The Rams have won their six games by a total score of 22-1, including wins of 4-0 over Lakota East and Mariemont. Sophomore Maci Taylor has five goals, and sophomore Ava Bush has three goals and eight assists.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Hamilton (Sept. 5), at Edgewood (Sept. 8)
6. St. Ursula Bulldogs (4-1)
The Girls Greater Catholic League usually belongs to Seton and Mount Notre Dame, but SUA is off to a strong start, including a league win over MND, 1-0, and wins over Badin and Sycamore. Freshman Matilda Miller and junior Holly Stagnaro have five goals apiece. SUA's last league title was in 2019.
Upcoming schedule: vs. Centerville (Sept. 5) vs. Mercy McAuley (Sept. 9)
5. Mason Comets (2-1-1)
The defending Greater Miami Conference champions have a win over St. Ursula and a draw with Mount Notre Dame, plus one league win, 8-0 over Princeton. Senior Bella Anderson had three goals and three assists, and the Comets have allowed three goals.
Upcoming schedule: at Colerain (Sept. 3), vs. Middletown (Sept. 8)
4. Summit Country Day Silver Knights (5-1)
Summit Country Day has adjusted well to life without All-Americans Bree Reder and Mia Stevens as the Silver Knights aim for a fourth consecutive state title, this year in Division III. Summit has averaged four goals per game but the defense has struggled at times, allowing three goals on two occasions. Aubrey Blakely has eight goals and Abigayle Penote, seven.
Upcoming schedule: at Roger Bacon (Sept. 3), at Vandalia Butler (Sept. 5)
3. Lakota West Firebirds (4-1)
Lakota West is off to a strong start with wins over Anderson, Ursuline and a usually strong Centerville team, plus a league win over Fairfield. Senior Anne Marie Wambugu leads the offense with six goals.
Upcoming schedule: at Oak Hills (Sept. 3), at Sycamore (Sept. 8)
2. Notre Dame Pandas (6-2)
The Pandas have established themselves as one of the best teams in Kentucky again, beating reigning state champion Sacred Heart and runner-up South Oldham. NDA has lost to Central Hardin 1-0 in Kentucky play and Indianapolis power Carmel. Sophia Reedy leads a balanced offense with five goals.
Upcoming schedule: at Conner (Sept. 2), at Campbell County (Sept. 5), at St. Henry (Sept. 7), at Brossart (Sept. 9)
1. Seton Saints (4-0)
The reigning Division I state runner-up has successfully taken on allcomers so far in 2026 as they look to make the next step. They have beaten Anderson, Fairfield, Centerville and Mason by a combined score of 20-1. Junior Mary Jung has four goals and five assists. Senior Lou Guidugli and junior Madi Hughes have three goals each.
Upcoming schedule: at Ursuline (Sept. 2), vs. Mount Notre Dame (Sept. 9).
