The status of Baltimore Ravensquarterback Lamar Jackson will probably remain unclear for as long as NFL rules allow, but the Oct. 23 injury report was a final piece of information regarding the two-time NFL Most Valuable Player's health.
Jackson, who missed each of Baltimore's last two games due to an ankle sprain, will be listed as "questionable" on Oct. 23, according to multiple reports on Ravens head coach Jesse Minter's news conference that day. His status on the injury report was still to be determined, Minter said, because he was limited but also able to get in some work.
The Ravens (4-2) host the Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) at M&T Bank Stadium on Oct. 25 in a key AFC North showdown.
ESPN reported on Oct. 23 that Jackson was observed warming
up at Ravens practice. Jackson was listed as "limited" during Ravens practices on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22.

In Jackson's absence, longtime backup Tyler Huntley has filled in and posted a 1-1 record. With Huntley as a starter this month, the Ravens lost a road game against the Cleveland Browns 13-10 in Week 6. Prior to that, Huntley helped steer Baltimore to a 30-23 overtime win against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Bengals have plenty of familiarity with Huntley, having seen him in action for all or part of three games. One of those was a 2023 AFC Wild Card playoff game − a memorable Cincinnati win for since-retired and local product Sam Hubbard grabbing the ball after it was knocked out of Huntley's hands around the Bengals' defensive goal line.
Hubbard then returned the ball 98 yards for the game-winning score.
