Hamilton County Commission Vice President Alicia Reece has announced two key additions to her leadership team, naming Jeff Harris Jr. as chief of staff and Jackie Taggart-Boyd as director of outreach and chief executive assistant, according to a community announcement.
Harris joins the office with more than 40 years of experience in public service, public safety and community leadership. His career includes 31 years with the Cincinnati Fire Department before retirement, six years with the Transportation Security Administration within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and eight years as executive director of the International Association of Black Professional Fire Fighters.
The announcement also noted that Harris has worked alongside Reece
on numerous voter engagement efforts over the years.

“Jeff brings a tremendous depth of experience in public service, government, leadership and community outreach and engagement with results,” said Hamilton County Commission Vice President Alicia Reece. “He understands what it means to serve people and solve problems. I am excited to welcome him to our team.”
The commission vice president also recognized members of the search committee that helped identify candidates for the position.

According to the announcement, Harris officially joined the team Oct. 1.
